![]() Both those games have something in common. Japan has brought us incredible games such as Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. It's easy to play but difficult to master. In terms of arcade-style fighting games, this is one of the best. There is also an online element that I don't have any experience with and a single-player campaign (which is an odd beat-em-up rather than a traditional series of fights) that's quite underwhelming. The game allows for basic one-on-one fights, as well as team battles and other modified modes. They're all fun to play and feel suitably varied. ![]() I'm not particularly familiar with the lore of 'Tekken', but each character is instantly understandable due to their appearance, intro lines and combat abilities. The roster is comprised of compelling, somewhat outlandish characters whose personalities match their fighting styles. The attacks can all be modified with a directional input and the game encourages you to think about your stance in order to best block attacks, juggle opponents or simply get up in the most effective way possible. The combat feels similar to how combat in the series has always felt, with the four face buttons used for different types of attacks and button combos used to perform grabs. It's a perfect two-player experience, one that's easy to jump into but has a layer of depth. 'Tekken 6 (2007)' is still one of my go-to fighting games. ![]()
